The themes of family and love around the Winter Solstice warm your heart. Overall, A Court of Frost and Starlight is worth your time and will have you eager in anticipation for the next novels. We feel that the mature sexual themes should be read by adult audiences. The main plot of celebrating the Winter Solstice can seem simple since its a stepping stone to step up future plots.Īdditionally, the book includes sexual themes, like its predecessors. The Belle’s advocate that readers under 18 to refrain from this series. Since we get multiple protagonist in A Court of Frost and Starlight there are so many hints and teases that it can make your mind whirl. There were/are many discussion of ideas as to what will happen in future novels. I am thankful for Maas publishing A Court of Frost and Starlight! But I’m greedy and I want MORE! As stated earlier, the Belle’s fell in love with this series and its characters. The book is shorter than a full-length novel but longer than a short story. The most frustrating aspect of this novella is in fact that it is a novella.

because in my hard copy version there is a SNEAK PEEK into the next book with a typical Maas cliffhanger about Nesta! When the audiobook ended I could have sworn it was missing a scene…. Also to prepare for this post I listened to the audiobook of A Court of Frost and Starlight. I for one am in love with ALL of the Night Court characters and cannot wait to see their development occur from their points of view. Thoughts are that future novels won’t be entirely from Feyre or Rhysand view points. My favorite part of the novella is that we get multiple chapters narrated by other characters besides Feyre and Rhysand! Don’t get me wrong I love the narration between these two mates, but we get to see several scenes from Cassian, Morrigan, or Nesta perspectives! It should come as no surprise that Maas is diving deeper into the other characters. While Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, she discovers that her loved ones have deeper wounds than she anticipated – scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of the Night Court. We get to see them gather together to celebrate the Winter Solstice and enjoy a hard-earned reprieve. Feyre, Rhysand, and along with their inner circle are busy rebuilding the Night Court and helping its citizens heal. A Court of Wings and Ruin ends with a climatic war that changes the world of Prythian forever and has traumatic effects on these beloved characters.

Daughter of the Moon Goddess: A Captivating Journey for FreedomĪ Court of Frost and Starlight is a peek into the lives of Feyre and Rhysand as they start to recover from the war.
